Maine provides for the licensure of dietitians, however as of 2019 there is no longer any restrictions on providing individualized nutrition advice, guidance, assessment, education, or counsel, so long as you:
1) Do not use any protected title, such as Licensed Dietitian, or give the impression that your license, and
2) Do not attempt to diagnose, treat, or cure a medical condition, or disease.
